Running WordPress on HTTPS in AWS Elastic Beanstalk

After my recent move to AWS, I decided to put my blog into Elastic Beanstalk as a way for me to learn more about the offering. Overall the process was pretty straightforward, and I’m enjoying having the control that comes with a self-hosted WordPress blog too. I did want to make one change though, which was to move the site to run on HTTPS instead of standard HTTP. My logic on this comes from the fact that Google uses HTTPS as a ranking signal, and who doesn’t want their site rated higher in searches?
